From humble beginnings in a Dunwoody gas station to explosive expansion across the Southeast, Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks continues its impressive trajectory with simultaneous projects in Oviedo and Orlando. The extensive renovation of these existing restaurants began with demolition and progressed through concrete and slab work, masonry, and structural support installation. Interior build-out included rough and finish carpentry, custom millwork, drywall/metal framing, and acoustical ceilings, finished with sealed concrete epoxy and FRP in designated areas. Exterior work covered roofing, caulking, EIFS repair, and new doors, frames, and hardware, including a specialty door. The project also involved painting, installation of stainless-steel toilet accessories, corner guards, fire extinguishers, signage, and owner-furnished equipment. Mechanical upgrades encompassed plumbing, gas lines, a sprinkler system, and HVAC with a kitchen hood, while electrical work included fire alarm and low voltage installations, and TV mounting.
